Days ahead of Dirty Computer‘s long-awaited drop, Janelle Monáe has released a new song and video from her third album and emotion picture. Titled “PYNK,” the effervescent single finds Monáe and Canadian synth-pop artist Grimes collaborating once again following 2015’s “Venus Fly.” Tessa Thompson makes another glorious cameo appearance in the flick, while Emma Westenberg serves as the video’s director.

“PYNK is the color that unites us all, for pink is the color found in the deepest and darkest nooks and crannies of humans everywhere,” Monáe states on her YouTube channel. “PYNK is where the future is born.”

In February, Monáe had fans licking their chops when she unveiled the videos for “Make Me Feel” and “Django Jane.” She told Zane Lowe that month: “I’m going to be 100 percent honest. I’m scared. I’m actually terrified. I mean, yeah, it’s such an honest body of work and I don’t know how people are going to react to it, Zane. I really, I don’t know. Just the thought of it is kind of freaking me out a little bit, but I feel like it’s something that I need to do.”
