The highly anticipated Rocky sequel, “Creed II”, is hitting theaters on Thanksgiving Day and fans have been in for a treat all week. First, the official movie poster launched.
If that wasn’t enough, the official trailer has now been released and it appears Adonis is picking up where his father left off
Fans of the Rocky movies will be able to quickly spot a lot of hidden gems from the trailer alone. The most obvious being that the film is centered around Adonis’ fight with Ivan Drago Jr, the son of Ivan Drago, the man who delivered the fatal blow to his late father Apollo Creed in Rocky IV. You’ll also see glimpses of Michael B. Jordan’s former The Wire castmate, Wood Harris, playing the role of Lil Duke, the son of Duke, Apollo Creed’s trainer. Everything comes full circle when Rocky and Adonis share a heated conversation about Adonis’ fight against Drago outside of Apollo’s old apartment.
From the looks of the trailer, film lovers will love this as much as Rocky fans. Did you guys catch that Muhammad Ali homage? November 21st is gonna be a good day!
