It’s a real troubling time in Charlotte right now. Officer Brentley Vinson of CMPD along with 4 other officers have been placed on administrative leave, after a suspect died in police custody. According to FOX46, Harold Easter 41, who was taken into custody after he was arrested with the possession of Cocaine and Marijuana. Law enforcement says Harold was spotted making a drug deal at the intersection of Whisnant Street and Burton Street on January 23rd. As he was being processed and interviewed, he began to experience a medical emergency and lost conscious. Officers began to administer aid until medics arrived. Medical officials transported him to a nearby hospital for life threatening conditions, three days later he died. Easter’s sister see’s him as a great father, great brother and great son. What makes this a big deal, Vinson is the same cop who killed Keith Lamont Scott.
Community activist and his family have began to question CMPD for answers as to what happened.
