We’re not sure if it’s daytime she’s missing or the warmth of the sun (summer, please hurry), but we can all relate to a Brooklyn toddler who’s gone viral for expressing just how disappointed she is that sunsets are a thing.

Mom Jamilah Lemieux, senior editor at Ebony Magazine, tweeted this short clip of daughter Naima becoming adorably upset after learning she had to share the sun with other children in the world. Lemieux, who told NewsOne the two had dinner just before sunset, had to explain to the toddler why it was dark outside when they finished.

“I want it to come back,” Naima says. “He’ll come back tomorrow,” Lemieux replies.

That’s when things got real.

“No, it’s a girl,” Naima said. Just in case you didn’t know.

After explaining to the 3-year-old that the moon had to come out and it was time for other children in the world to have the sun, Naima said what we all were thinking.

“No! I don’t want to share the sun!”

“We’d went out to dinner just before dark and when we left, she started complaining about the sun being down,” Lemieux told NewsOne. “She kept going and going, and I thought it was funny, so I decided to film it.”

To date, the video has been retweeted over 20,000 times.

Turns out, Mini Milah, as mom sometimes calls her, is quite the feminist. So it was no surprise when she insisted the sun was a girl.

“Naima is very much a believer in girl power already. We work to instill in her a positive image of her gender and the belief that women can do anything. My friends call her the ‘tiny feminist,’” Lemieux said.
