Now, this is the tea we need.

In a recent interview with Houston’s ABC affiliate KTRK, Tina Knowles-Lawson discussed her daughter’s latest visual album Lemonade.

When asked about the album’s themes of infidelity, betrayal, anger, and redemption, Miss Tina said, “People make it all about the cheating and betrayal and, yes, that’s a part of it because that is something you have to heal from.”

“If you really listen to the poetry it is one of hope and redemption and hopefully that can be healing for people,” she continued.

Tina Knowles-Lawson is no stranger to infidelity and marital betrayal. In 2011, Miss Tina divorced Mathew Knowles after 31 years of marriage and recalls how she felt after the partnership ended.

“I remember my first little pity part and I called them crying and you know, they all came,” she said. “We had a slumber party, we watched old movies all night and ate ice cream–it was very healing.

When asked if Lemonade was about Beyoncé and Jay Z’s marriage specifically, Miss Tina kept it politically correct:

“It could be about anyone’s marriage. I think that everybody at one time or another has been betrayed and lied to and it’s about the pain–and it’s about the healing process–and it’s about how do you get past that and move on.”

Yesterday, Michael Brown’s mother Lezley McSpadden also discussed her role in Beyoncé’s Lemonade on Sirius XM radio.

In the meantime, check out Bey and Blue Ivy stuntin’ in their embroidered denim ensembles in her recent Insta post below. In the clip, Bey pays homage to Gucci Mane by playing his hit single, “Lemonade” in the background.

As for the jackets, they both have the Gucci stamp as well- as they’re designed by the fashion brand of the same name. Coincidence?
