Just under four months after a fireworks accident that nearly cost him his entire hand, NY Giants defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul is back with the G-men and gearing up to hit the field.

Speculation that Pierre-Paul was on the brink of returning to the team and in the middle of contract revisions begun making their way around the internet earlier this month, and today the Giants administration confirmed that the deal had been finalized. Pierre-Paul, who had previously spent the last 4 months in South Florida weight training with his personal trainer following a rehab stint, had this to say once news of his return went public.

Although no concrete date has been set for exactly when Paul-Pierre will play in his first game back, ESPN “sources” close to the situation have speculated that he’ll be ready to get back in action when the Giants face the currently-undefeated Patriots at home in week 10.
