This weekend, 103.5 KTU, The Beat of New York, kicked off the summer at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater with its annual star-studded concert event KTUphoria 2016 presented by Aruba. Fans celebrated summer with performances from today’s hottest acts including Pitbull, Backstreet Boys, Enrique Iglesias, The Chainsmokers, Nile Rodgers, Mike Posner, and Bebe Rexha.
Nikon at Jones Beach Theater was filled with eager fans ready to party and hear all of the night’s top performers. Mike Posner performed his summer jam “I Took a Pill in Ibiza” followed by Enrique Iglesias, who had the crowd dancing the night away. The Backstreet Boys proved to be “back alright” and took everyone on a trip down memory lane.
The fans who filled the venue experienced all the feels prior to Pitbull’s performance during a tribute honoring the late legend Prince.
Pitbull was the last to take stage, and it was worth the wait. “Mr. Worldwide” wowed the crowd with his impressive dance moves and had everyone out of their seats. The “party” vibe was in honor of the late Muhammad Ali and the iconic Prince. Why? Because, that’s what they would have wanted.
