After 14 years of playing with the same franchise Robert Mathis decides to call it quits. Now many know Peyton Manning being the face of the Colts but on the defensive side of things the Mathis was the captain he was the Manning of the defensive side. He walks away from the game being the NFL’s leader in stripped sacks with 46! Mathis is the franchises leader in sacks with 122 and seventh all time, two time super bowl champion. Not too bad for the 138th pick in the NFL draft.
He is an easy first ballot Hall Of Famer and will be missed from the field. Congrats on a wonderful season from 92.7 The Block.
