The upscale Italian restaurant, Orto in NoDa closed its doors for good over the weekend.
The restaurant opened less than a year ago and staffing, supply chain and cost led to the new business failing.

The Italian restaurant is located in the popular NoDa neighborhood on 36th Street.

Chef Paul Verica of Orto told Charlotte Business Journal the pandemic delayed construction and forced Verica to pay rent for months before the restaurant opened in March.

Also, staffing and supply-chain issues were the problem and said the location also played a role.
