Colin Kaepernick started it all when he first decided not to stand during the National Anthem last year after countless African American men and young boys were murdered by police.

And now a year later after the disrespectful comments made by Donald Trump made headlines across the world and social media, NFL players and coaches united in #takeaknee, an hashtag that made headlines for athletes in both NFL and NBA to take part in defending themselves and the hateful words that Trump used to describe athletes that defend themselves.

The rant all began with NBA player Stephen Curry declining to go to the White House to celebrate their championship win against the Cleveland Cavaliers in this year’s NBA finals.

Many players spoke out against the President’s comments including Lebron James, Chris Paul, Reggie Bush and many others.

As they say…the revolution will be televised.
