ESPN anchor Jemele Hill has been suspended for tweeting her reflections about Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones’ stance on the national anthem protesters on his team. He recently was quoted saying that any player who “disrespects the flag” will not play. Jemele, in a series of tweets, suggested that those who disagree with Jones’ statement should boycott the team’s advertisers.

Jemele was already under scrutiny from ESPN for calling the president a White Supremacist in a tweet. But Jeff Johnson makes a great point when he asks if Jemele’s comments on sports news is an ethical reason to suspend Jemele, since her job is to comment on sports news.
