Today in the mix, DJ Ace played Lil Huey’s Pop Lock and Drop It and it made me think back to a very embarrassing, yet exhilarating memory.

My old station, Power 92 Jams, in Little Rock used to hold an annual event called Juneteenth, where we all gathered at the Rivermarket Amphitheatre and we would have top of the line artists come and perform to celebrate our history. Well. my first Juneteenth experience was when I was in the ninth grade. It was the biggest event in the city and my parents had FINALLY agreed that I was old enough to go by myself with my friends – so it was LIT!

I got my outfit from top to bottom, accessories and all, from Citi Trends..yes fashion for less! 🙂 And I got a chance to meet Huey because I was backstage volunteering with the promo department. Long story short, my friend Tiffany and Rickelle and I were asked by Huey to dance background for him. Hopefully I can get my hands on the video to post for you guys but I did want to let you guys see my outfit because I thought I was soooo cute!

Comment below and let me know what you think! LOL Was I FLY or NAH?!?
