Congrats to the Levine Museum of the New South’s ¡NUEVOlution! exhibit. The Southeastern Museum Conference named it as the winner of three awards in their annual exhibit and technology competitions for the current exhibit, ¡NUEVOlution!: Latinos and the New South.

¡NUEVOlution! received the top “Excellence in Exhibitions” Gold Award for exhibits with budgets over $100,000. In the SEMC Technology Competition, ¡NUEVOlution! earned Silver Awards for “Gallery Installation” and for “Campaign.”

Levine Museum of the New South VP of Exhibits Kate Baillon and VP of Education Kamille Bostick will accept the awards on behalf of the museum at the SEMC Annual Meeting Awards Luncheon on October 12, 2016, at the Sheraton Charlotte Hotel in Charlotte, NC.

The museum is extending the exhibit through November 27 to accommodate group tours and dialogue requests and further host the community and visitors.

Night of ¡NUEVOlution! There is also a dance party on Oct. 14. It’s going to be similar to the opening night party which was crazy fun. Plus, you can see the exhibit if you haven’t already.

Levine Museum of the New South hosts a night of music and dancing in honor of the award-winning exhibit ¡NUEVOlution! Latinos and the New South. Explore the exhibit and enjoy live music by Ultima Nota, and dancing with the dynamic salsa team Wendy and Rodrigo Jimenez.

$8 in advance for general public. $10 at the door. Free admission for Levine Museum members and exhibit sponsors. Cash bar. Ages 21 and up.
