In an effort to end a decades-long frozen relationship between the U.S. and Cuba, President Barack Obama made history when he became the first president in nearly 90 years to visit the island siloed from the rest of the world since the Cold War conflict on Sunday.
"I remember people talking about how somehow this was going to solve all our racial problems. I wasn’t one of those who subscribed to that notion," the president said.
President Obama will make history by becoming the first sitting president to visit Cuba in almost nine decades.
